I am seriously considering a liquid diet. First off, should I replace all 3 meals with a shake, or should I only do one. Second, what brand of shake (besides slim fast) would be a good, and affordable start. Any other information you have on this type of diet would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
What is the proper way to transistion into a liquid diet?

start off by replacing one meal with the shake, then gradually to 2, then all 3. And your body is going to hate you at the end of all this.
I have tried a liquid diet and it was good for weight loss, but it is incredibly dangerous if you do not have a doctor to monitor you. You should have a range of blood tests before you begin to test your liver and kidney functions, hormone levels, cholesterol, and heart condition before you begin.
I made it a clean break from solid food one day to liquid only on the next.
I used Slim-Fast low-carb shakes.
One can of shake for breakfast.
One 14-ounce can of low-sodium chicken broth (heated in microwave) as lunch.
One can of shake for a late snack instead of dinner.
Two cups of sugar-free jello as a snack.
All the water, diet pepsi, coffee, and tea you want.
After a week of that it is easy to transition into a more conservative low-carb weight-loss diet with more substantial foods.
