If the South Beach diet, read the recipe included some preliminary ideas, but they were few and far between. The follow-up cookbook is being marketed as if they were looking at the popularity of his predecessor, dovetail, but I think if they get it, you do not even need the original.

mind, this is not a carb “low” of the book. This is lower “bad” carbohydrates, while the “good” carbohydrates. The South Beach revolves around the idea of keeping rabbits Agatston low glycemic index and a good job of explaining the logic to do for food.
recipes I’ve tried so far are pretty good in relation to taste. The best thing for me is that none of the recipes do not feel like condiments that you would only find in some department stores, super-elite count on the other side of town. Very practical for a single health-conscious.

Well, after reading the Bible as the basis for the South Beach Diet (ISBN: 1579546463), which I recommend if you are interested in this cookbook, I wanted to try some of the meals Agatston referred in his book.
The author divides the cookbook in the following sections: breakfast, appetizers, soups, salads, fish and poultry, meat, vegetarian and desserts. Each section has about 20 recipes that are easy to prepare and follow the 40% protein, 30% carbohydrates, 30% fat and what to expect from a diet plan like this. Moreover, the majority of the recipes Account carbohydrates, grams of protein, etc. I noticed in the desert section (my personal favorite of all the cookbook), that the recipes employ yogurt, almonds, fresh fruit and wide. Some sugar substitutes have been found, but not much.
The author also devotes 8 pages of the book that the diet plan, shop a long chapter summarizes, in accordance with the diet plan, and 5 pages of questions and answers type of material, which is in connection with general issues with diet. Color photos were available to about 50% of the recipes, so I review this with the title “Pretty Pictures”. I would this book to every reader, and enjoyed the plans recommend the South Beach Diet use.

I like South Beach by design. I lost 40 pounds and love the fact that it is a “healthy” low-carb alternative. It was great to them (though not surprising to see the face book sales) to the cookbook. Overall, the recipes I’ve been good, but
1) Use a lot of ingredients that are not – for breakfast aspaagus, br expensive seafood such as sea bass, sole and lobster, vegetables and interesting, but umcommon such as cabbage and beans choyote <> 2) It takes a long time to do – and I am an experienced cook MedlinePlus 3) The desserts are very limited and so-so
The point is, they have worked hard to make, pretty , chef like food, so feel that you can eat well, but forget how many of us love the basics – easy recipes with ingredients easy to find for follow “normal” food. I recommend

“The South Beach Diet Cookbook” was written to provide a set of recipes to the original “South Beach Diet supplement” book.
The cookbook begins with an overview of the diet program. It describes the diet, but not in detail of the original. It explains what to do to make your fridge and pantry “South Beach” get friendly. It explains what a view diary, meat, oils, pastas, sandwiches, drinks and much more welcome.
then the book has a question / answer session with Dr. Agatston. This section updates some of the original book data (milk and yogurt are allowed in Phase 1, for example) and goes into more detail about the different types of food.
Then comes the main part of the book. Categories include recipes for breakfast, appetiziers and appetizers, soups, salads, side dishes and side dishes, seafood, fish and poultry, meat, vegetarian dishes and desserts. Each recipe indicates at what stage it is convenient, and many of the recipes are illustrated in mouthwatering photos! MedlinePlus includes sample recipes salad with feta cheese, homemade Green Bean Casserole, Pan Fried Pecan Grouper, wheat lasagna with vegetables and apple and almond souffle. More than 200 recipes.
A very interesting feature is the inclusion of recipes for you to make many of their own ingredients. Unfortunately, the tomato sauce, barbecue sauce and many other “pads” are loaded with corn syrup, high fructose. Said Dr. Agatston provides details on how you can make your own.
general quality of the recipes is very good. The negative I have is the lack of total dependence on sugar and sugar substitutes. I prefer to use real sugar in moderation sugar substitutes such as aspartame. He has a recipe for strawberries with velvety chocolate sauce and suggests that the use of sugar free chocolate syrup. Instead, why not a bar of cocoa and melted it down. This is healthier than sugar malitol as imitation, the sugar-free products and much more are satisfactory.
Dr. Agatston is worth some wonderful recipes in this book by the best chefs and restaurants, and the purchase of the book. But many of the desserts with sugar and fat free sour cream fake fall flat. Moderation is the key. Use the Real Deal in as little as French.
