What do you do if someone you love gets cancer and will refuse medical treatment?
My boyfriend told me he would decline medical treatment if he had cancer because he doesn't believe in doctors. He told me that if it was God's will, God would save him... if not then obviously he is suppose to die. He thinks medical treatment for cancer is no guarantee, and I know that, but I believe it does increase your chance of survival ALONG with faith. How can my boyfriend say that he will just let God help him and eat right? What if God created chemotherapy and radiation for the purpose of treating cancer and possibly prolonging life?

A person I love have stage 3 or maybe 4 colon cancer ? she made a surgery for cancer in the ovarian and uterian , she has small nodes in the colon and by the way she also removed part of the colon in the surgery 2 .. any way the doc told Us that her sucess rate is 80 percent . The prb she has animia now and she is not eating well , also she had bad kidney prbs since her kidney functions wasn't good before desicovering her cancer ...
My question Is
1- how i can encourage her to eat , what food can boost her immunity and benefit her in cancer ?
2-I heard chemo can kills , does alternative treatment is best ? if so why all people are just taking chemo ?

Why am I feeling nausea after my RAI treatment? I can't eat.
I came home Wednesday and haven't been able to eat since. I have felt nauseated and it's not going away. I had an intermediate dosage of radioactive iodine to treat papillary carcinoma or thyroid cancer (most treatable kind of thyroid cancer) on Tuesday. Will this ever go away? Its miserable. I have nothing to get rid of since I can't eat.
I have to stay away from my son who's 13 for a few days until the radiation is weaker. The sick feeling is bothering me the most. Help!

Has anyone’s dog been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis? Success with treatment?
My 4 yr old dobie mix "Rommel" had the skin test done for allergies . He was allergic to many different grasses, trees, dusts, molds, etc. He started Atopica/cyclosporin, alergy shots, anti-histamine and an anti-fungal in early July. He has now lost 3/4 of his coat, developed tremors in the extremities and papillomas (warts/pimples) all over. The dermatologist prescribed a second round of tapered steroids...no improvement.
Since he is not improving and the side effects of cyclosporin are obvious I was considering going the holistic route....which would be to stop everything and start from scratch. I just started him on a strictly raw meat (Drawins) diet. Has anyone delt with this diagnosis before? taken the holistic route? Being in the medical field myself(w/ humans), I fully understand the immunological response...but Rommel is looking like an end-stage cancer patient.
My friend has stg4 cancer, thr treatment it has shrunk by 1/2 in 6 months,will she make it thr this?
She was diagnosed 10 mnths ago w/lung cancer. It was removed thr surgery. 6 months ago she had spots return on her other lung, colon, and spin. I do not know much on the subject of cancer.This sounds horrible to me, but I think it is a positive that treatment is shrinking the cancer. Are there any sites out there for patients who simply do not want treatment? I have a friend who is 65+, diagnosed with breast cancer and simply doesn't want to endure chemo or any kind of surgery. The cancer is pretty advanced and she has decided not to go the route of traditional treatments. How can I seek treatment for skin cancer without mecical insurance?
I am a 44 year old unemployed male without insurance who has just been diagnosed with skin cancer. Does anyone know of any type of help I can receive? Am I eligible for medicare, ssi or ssdi?
