My friend's 3 year old child was just diagnosed with Leukemia and is in the hospital undergoing kemotherapy. The parents are both sleeping at the hospital every night and will be there for the next several nights. I'm not sure how sterile things need to be in order for her to play with them and i don't know what the parents need. Does anyone have some suggestions for me?

Okay, so i recently found out my best friend has leukemia and i found out from my boyfriend. shes only told about 4 people, and yet her brother and sisters who are very close with her dont know. wouldnt you tell family/close ones?
everyday she complains about it and says how shes not taking pills for it because "its not worth it", and then she says excuses about how shes weakening after one night of not taking "these pills". shes had it for 6 months. i cannot tell if this is a joke or not.
she almost seems like shes saying this just to keep friends or to make people feel bad for her, and the fact she just said she has "acute lymphotic luekema" when its actually "acute lymphocytic leukemia".
also, she knows nothing about it after 6 months. wouldnt you think after 6 months youd know all about it and the doctors would tell you what you had? she says shes going to go to research soon...
do i sound like a bad friend or do i sound right?

Im worried about my sister possibly having leukemia.
My sister is 36 years old and hasnt been feeling well for a while now but they have just been mild things like feeling really weak and tired and she has been having some digesting problems along with other small things but here recently, her hair has been falling out and its getting worse everyday. Its falling out completley from the root. She doesnt even have to touch it and it falls out. She went to the doctor and they took some test but I dont know if they tested for cancer or not and didint want to ask her that because I dont want to scare her but Im really worried that it may be leukemia. Can Leukemia make your hair fall out before you start recieving treatments if that is what it could be? I have no idea what could be wrong with her and Im really worried. Please help
Is Leukemia in cats caused by FLV?
I just found out that my oldest cat (he's 11) that he may have Leukemia. I took him to the vet the other day because he was having diarrhea. He had blood drawn, and one of his test came back fine but his blood count came back iffy, the doctor said that it looked like Leukemia. But, she also said that when a cat is depressed sometimes tests can give false readings. (We moved recently and the kitty hasn't taken to it so well, hides and such.) He still has an appetite, his bathroom habits are the same, the diarrhea has stopped. But, now I've noticed his leg is quite swollen, which worries me. If it is Leukemia, my question is this, is Leukemia only caused by the Feline Leukemia Virus or can cancer just develop? I have another cat, who was tested as a kitten and she didn't have it. And as far as I can remember my oldest was tested as well and he was fine. They're both indoor cats.

for your info, its a two way requests.She is not bedridden or very weak as you see other cancer patients but she is still as lively as before.Not that i am afraid of it being contagious or what but I just don't know how to react when she wants it.Get what I mean?
