what is the life expectancy for bone cancer that is not spread and no chemo or radiation is taken?
my mother in law is being tested for bone cancer and we wont know anything until next week but the family is very concerned. she is 84 and if it comes back positive,(which the doctors think it will), she will not take any treatment. We are wondering what this will do to her body as far as affects and weakness. She is already very week and sleeps alot.
How to cure secondary level bone cancer for a 68 years old patient?
My mom suffers from Secondary level bone cancer. She was having pain in the beginning say for about 2 months. We left it as it is bcoz of her age factor generally pain comes. But now on investigation we found it is cancer. We are not able to find out the primary level. Any medicines that can cure cancer? Now if she gets pain we give proxyvan and omez. She also consumes Amilodipin for BP. She has been given Radiation for only 7 days and doctors informed that is the final treatment that they can offer. Please help me.

21/2 years ago my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer from taking hormone replacement therapy for menopause they removed part of the breast in may 2009 they found they cancer returned they did brain surgery to remove the cancer from the brain how ever they told her it has spread to lungs liver and bones. On 9/11/09 they told her she is terminal and to start preparing for hospice. When the doctor tells you to prepare for hospice how long does she have left?

I have been dating this guy, and he told me he has skin, bone, and thyroid cancer. He has not had any treatment for either of them.He looks good healthy works as a roofer never sick. physical a few weeks ago with complete blood work , the DR said blood looked perfect. HUH? PERFECT? Is that normal or am I'm a moron for believing him? No jokes please. I already feel like an idiot.
Symptoms and treatments of bone cancer?
I have a tender growing lump on my rib cage. I'm waiting for a cat scan results. I was wondering what are the symptoms of bone cancer and what are the tests? Can a cat scan show if there is some sort of cancer there? I had an x ray done and it came back clear but my doctor is still concerend as am I. I can feel the lump threw my skin and its tender to touch and does not more. Its extreamly hard.
Can secondary bone cancer be cured?
The case I'm talking about is 19 years old, with cancer that now spread to the bones. Her doctor gives her 3 months of life. I researched and found treatments for bone cancer, but they don't specify whether or not they can really cure it. I would like to know the possibilities of her survival if one of the treaments is taken and how many years she can live due to treatment. I guess it's not possible for her to become old...Thank you.

My beloved brother (whom I was caring for ) was only 58 when he died of liver failure 2 mths ago. Now and at the same nursing home my Mother is taking therapy for her arm that just broke for no reason. They did a CAT scan and said they found cancer of the kidney (clear cell carcinoma) that had spread to the bone in arm. They called it mesatise (I think) They have told me there is no treatments they can do because of her age (84) but she sure doesn't look like it or act like it before) and the fact that becasue it had already spread to the bone it was probably all over the body. I am there everyday no matter what just like I was with my brother. The past few days she has been seeing things , getting really nervous, does'nt know how to dial a phone no. (she was also diagnosised with mild demetia 4 yrs ago) she is getting to the point of not being able to even feed herself. I feel so useless and my question is how fast does this type travel, could it be in brain. why call in hospice now?

They just took her to the hospital because her liver is hurting is that bad? Does that mean we are close to the end? She started treatment in Feb when she found out and did her full course and rested for the month of July started again. But, lately she was complaning of lot of back pains and the dr send it her to a petscan. She did a petscan 2 weeks ago and the dr says it doesnt look good.

If so what stage were they in? And what was their treatment? And how long ago did it happen? My mom was just diagnosed with both bone and liver cancer. The doctor sounded optimistic saying "absolutely" after my mom asked if there was treatment.

The problem: My brother's insurance company will pay for the surgery, however, they will not pay for the search for the matching doner. What can we do? Can someone or some foundation assist us?

Last June I was diagnoised with prostate cancer. I had a
complete removal in August.
I have developed pain in by hip bone area. It is a dull to sharp pain. Is there any connection between the two?? does anyone know. Please advise, thanks
Information about breast cancer that has spread to the bone marrow?
My Mother was diagnosed with breast cancer approximately 4 years ago. After chemotherapy and whatever else she went through she has since been in remission. The last 2 months she has been in and out of the hospital, first with pneumonia and then a pulmonary embolism (that went undetected for a week because they refused to do a CT scan, thanks Docs!). ANYWAY, I don't know the specifics but they did a bone marrow biopsy on her - I think she said it was because her platelet counts continued to drop or something to that effect. Well the results of the biopsy came back yesterday and they are saying that the breast cancer is back, but now in her bone marrow. She doesn't actually meet with her Oncologist until next Monday, but this is tearing me up and I can't wait for answers. My question is - what is the normal route of treatment? I have been googling my heart out, but all the answers seem to be directed towards breast cancer that has spread to the bone and not the bone marrow. I'm not even sure if there is a difference at this point, I just want to be properly informed. Is there a bone marrow transplant in her future? After chemotherapy, perhaps? I know family members tend to be the best hope for a match and I am in the military coming up for orders overseas, so if it IS a possibility I need to let my command know so I can apply for compassionate reassignment ASAP.
This is really hard on me because her and I are so close, and I don't want to lose my Mom. I know there is no cure but I just need a little hope.
