Breast Cancer – Bone Cancer?
My dearest friend of 25 years just recently finished her chemo treatment for breast cancer. She had 8 treatments in total and was told that she'd have to have a mastectomy on her left breast. She recently went for a cat scan which I was told was rutine before she went to have her reconstructive surgery done - a transflap.
Well, it appeared that during the scan some areas on her hip and spine lit up. It was thought that she had bone cancer but the final pathology on the bone biopsy came back "inconclusive". It showed some suspicious cells but no actual cancer.
What are the chances that she has breast cancer that has metastasized to her bones and if it isn't that what else could it possibly be?
Most of her family are taking the "inconclusive" result as a positive thing but my intuition is telling me otherwise. Anyone have any experience with this sort of situation?
When she had the cat scan it showed bone lesions that weren't there on the prior cat scan she had done. Her doctor told her that while she still needed to prove without a doubt that it was cancer she really didn't think it could have been anything else.
Another point of concern was that when they were testing her in the begining of her breast cancer treatment they had found it had gotten to her lymphnodes but the numbers indicated that it hadn't gotten any further. I guess it was so many out of so many - I can't recall.
How can you tell if you have lupus or bone cancer?
A blood test was taken and this was in some of the results. What are some treatments?
What is the best pain medications and treatments for a dog with terminal bone cancer?
My dog Rain, is a Basset/Lab mix. She was a rescue that was neglected and horribly treated as a young dog. She has had a terrible time with health and joints. You name it this dog has had it. Anyway she's NOW been diagnosed with Bone Cancer. Its aggressive and terminal. I Love all 7 of my dogs. She's in short, the hardest, most time consuming dog I have ever owned. I do love her and want to give her a comfortable end. I love her but in a dutiful way if you can understand. Its almost a relief and a blessing for me she is passing, I know that sounds so bad but if you would only know what it was like with her. She isn't that far gone yet, we are not pursuing chemo, and just want her comfortable till the end. I am contemplating pain meds for her are there more natural, holistic ones that have less side effect then the normally prescribed ones?
yes my vet suggested the normal ones, I am asking for people that have gone through this previous what is the best way to go. I am in touch with the vet all the time for her and currently she is on a regular pain med.
Where or how can I get information regarding a doctor? My mom has liver and bone cancer and I need to find the
BEST Oncologist who specialize in Breast Cancer. My mom had Breast Cancer in 2005 and she was in remission for 9 months but, when it came back it was considered secondary liver cancer and some spots in her back bone (has not reached her bone marrow..thank god) She is currently seeing the same doctor who did her treatment in 2005 when she had breast Cancer I just don't like him I think he's not as honest as I wish he would be and is too sarcastic. M mom is currently under treatment (2nd treatment) and I am going to wait till she finishes her treatment before we switch doctors but, I want to find the best doctor is there a website where people can post feedback on their doctors? Has anyone had success with any alternative treatments to bone cancer?
My boyfriend has Ewing's Sarcoma. It is not metastatic and they think they can fix it fairly quickly with chemo. They've decided to pursue herbal remedies though, and it worries me more than a little bit, but I can't seem to change his mind no matter what I say. The treatment he's trying includes a mineral lamp, several different vitamins, some kind of seeds that are supposed to be "natural chemo", and a foot detox system. Does anyone have any success stories with alternative treatments? If so, what did you use, how long, etc?

My wife is a treated case of CA breast way back in 1999.Now there is bone mets.advise us the treatment option?
MRM was done in the year may 1999.Stage was T2 N1.ER not detected PR 30%positive.Received chemotherapy (Epirubicin) and rdiotherapy after surgery.She has taken Temoxyphen for 5 years.She was under regular follow up at cancer hospital Bhopal.Now her bone scan shows multiple bony mets at shoulders,L3AND L5 vertibrae.She has recieved recieved radiation on LA for 21 days.Now the doctors has dvised to take chemotherapy taxanes or docetroxel. She has also recieved two doses of Zoledronic Acid.Presntly we are at TATA hospital Mumbai they have suggested for Her 2 New Test and also for PET SCAN. She is also getting her periods regularly with few interruptions. Kindly advise latest treatment options available.

21/2 years ago my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer from taking hormone replacement therapy for menopause they removed part of the breast in may 2009 they found they cancer returned they did brain surgery to remove the cancer from the brain how ever they told her it has spread to lungs liver and bones. On 9/11/09 they told her she is terminal and to start preparing for hospice. When the doctor tells you to prepare for hospice how long does she have left?

He has not had any treatment for either of them.He looks good healthy works as a roofer never sick. physical a few weeks ago with complete blood work , the DR said blood looked perfect. HUH? PERFECT? Symptoms and treatments of bone cancer?
I have a tender growing lump on my rib cage. I'm waiting for a cat scan results. I was wondering what are the symptoms of bone cancer and what are the tests? Can a cat scan show if there is some sort of cancer there? I had an x ray done and it came back clear but my doctor is still concerend as am I. I can feel the lump threw my skin and its tender to touch and does not more. Its extreamly hard.
Can secondary bone cancer be cured?
The case I'm talking about is 19 years old, with cancer that now spread to the bones. Her doctor gives her 3 months of life. I researched and found treatments for bone cancer, but they don't specify whether or not they can really cure it. I would like to know the possibilities of her survival if one of the treaments is taken and how many years she can live due to treatment. I guess it's not possible for her to become old...Thank you.
