Dad who has stage 3 colon cancer, will be done his 12 folfox chemo treatments next month.. Wondering though.. how he will feel monts after.. lingering side affects...etc...? I'm vacationing in a few weeks and would like to drop a few pounds before then. I need something with a specific diet ... I already exercise 3-4 times weekly.

I went and got some slim fast shakes and snack bars and going to try to stick with this eating plan
Breakfast-Shake
Snack-fruit
Lunch- a 500 cal meal
snack-veggie
dinner-shake
snack- a slim fast snack bar or something 100 cals or less
Does that sound good? Has anyone else tried it? Lost anything? Could you stick to it?

healthy recipes, I mean. this is not just to lose weight, but to be healthier. because i've found (from research on the internet) that people who go on a raw food diet tend to be a whole lot more healthier. there have even been cases where people have had cancer and they go on the raw food diet and they become cancer free!
anyhow, do you know of any easy simple recipes that can fill me up??

I don't know much at all about lung cancer, but this guy I know came to school today and said that he recently found that he has lung cancer and the doctors have given him three months to live. Are there no treatments for lung cancer? How can he possibly be dying so fast, after he just found out that he had it? Is there anyway to find out if he is telling the truth or just being overdramatic because his girlfriend wanted to break up with him? Anyone with any information about lung cancer would greatly be appreciated! Thanks everyone.
-EDIT) Today, he said that you can feel the cancer in his lung if you touch his chest. Is that possible with lung cancer?
